3 – 5 September 2025
Hold the front page! Tie a knot in your handkerchief! Do whatever you usually do to not forget!
But save the date!
The AEPM’s annual conference is being hosted in 2025 by the Centre for printing history and culture (CPHC).
As usual it is being held at a new venue, this year at the University of Birmingham’s Winterbourne House & Garden (UK). Less usual, it’s being held at a different time of the year: in the Autumn instead of in the Spring.
The general theme of the conference will be
the relationship between printing historians and the heritage sites that are custodians of the material evidence of print
The exact title of the conference and the speakers will be announced early in 2025.
The Centre for printing history and culture (CPHC) is a joint initiative between Birmingham City University and the University of Birmingham which brings together researchers, heritage professionals, practitioners and librarians to encourage research into all aspects and periods of printing history and culture, as well as education and training in the art and application of printing.
Winterbourne House is not only a historic Arts and Crafts inspired Edwardian house and botanic garden, it houses its own letterpress printing workshop, typographic library and exhibition space. It also works closely with the Centre for Printing History and Culture and Birmingham City University.
