Modern letterpress equipment from the Plantin-Moretus Museum
Up until the 1990s the Plantin-Moretus Museum printed diplomas and other work for special occasions for the city of Antwerp in its small modern printshop. Because this function has been reduced, the Museum Plantin-Moretus is selling some of the equipment from its modern printshop (which is not a part of the museum’s collection!): a molding machine, a worktable, a table for the dressing of letters to make them type high, and a Vandercook proofing press.
The auction closes on the 29th July. The material has to be collected by the 6th August.
